From the Director's Desk
“Social entrepreneurs identify resources where people only see problems. They view the villagers as the solution, not the passive beneficiary. They begin with the assumption of competence and unleash resources in the communities they’re serving.”
It was a pleasure to be associated with this organization that has evolved immensely since its beginnings in 2020, and is slowly but surely growing in stature. The foundation which began with education as the driver of ushering transformation has evolve as over time and is ushering positive changes.
An institution is only as good as its people are, and on boarding excellent human resources to facilitate and guide learning and practice is something that is pursued with hallmark zeal. The community drawn from all over the district has grown, and will continue to grow in strength and diversity. The dream to make a humane, creative and impactful multidisciplinary institution which delivers affordable, user-friendly and sustainable skills is what drives the community here.
​The year 2022-23 was special for the institute as it proudly witnessed the collaboration with North East Centre for Technology Application and Research (NECTAR) for Lemon Processing Unit at Laii Village. It also collaboration with Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation for its pilot project” Tsiibe Dehydrated Fruit Processing Centre” at Rikhumai Taphou, District Headquarters, Senapati.
​The Internship Program launched in 2022 is the innovation, incubation and academic leadership vehicle of Tsiibe Foundation. It was set up for incubating young minds for innovation in research.It represents the strong emphasize and commitment of the foundation to create a strong education-industry interface.
I hope “Rejuvenate: The Report” will take you through the foundation journey and opportune a chance to take a look at the stated “purpose, core values and envisioned future” of the Foundation to see where and how it wants to make a change to the world. This is also summarized in the foundation motto ‘Connecting Minds, Transforming Lives’.
As the father of Social Entrepreneurship, Bill Drayton said “Social entrepreneurs are not content just to give a fish or teach how to fish. They will not rest until they have revolutionized the fishing industry”, Tsiibe Foundation endeavours to work tirelessly with reaffirm zeal and passion of transforming lives.
